This article is for students enrolling in Achieve courses including Read & Practice.
Get an access code
- Purchase from your school bookstore - You may have purchased an access code from your bookstore, either in the form of an access card or contained in a new book.
- Get directly from your instructor - In some cases (such as class tests) your instructor may have provided you with an access code.
If you want to enroll, but you'd rather not buy an access code, you can use one of the alternative methods shown in the help article Enroll in a course.
Register for an Achieve course
- From your school's LMS (Blackboard, Canvas, D2L, or Moodle)
- Please try this method first if your school uses an LMS. If you follow the registration instructions below when your course has an LMS integration, you will get an error message that says that you must "use the link provided in your school's course system (LMS)."
- From the course URL (provided by your instructor)
- From the Achieve sign in page
The video below shows the process of enrolling using an access code once you have started in one of the three places listed above. If you need help getting started, read the written instructions first, then come back to this video.
From the course URL
If you go to this URL and you are not already logged in to Achieve, you will be prompted to sign in or create an account.
From the Achieve sign-in page
Go to achieve.macmillanlearning.com. If you are not signed in or do not have an account, click the tile that says I Need to Enroll in a Course.
If you are signed in, click Enroll in a new course at the top right.
In the box that appears, enter your access code or course ID. Below we will show the process when you enter an access code first. Jump to steps for entering a course ID first.
If the code is generated internally for a beta course you will immediately be shown the course that aligns with that code at the bottom of the window. Once you sign in or create an account, you will be enrolled in that course. (If you are already signed in, click the Finish Enrollment button.)
If you need to change your access code or your course, you can do so using the links at the bottom right.
Note: If you see an error message after entering your access code, try the troubleshooting steps in the help article Access code not working.
If the code was purchased through the bookstore you will need to also enter the course ID on a screen that follows the access code entry.
Here's what the steps look like if you start by entering your course ID instead of an access code.
After entering your course ID you will be shown the course information aligned to that course ID. If the course shown is incorrect, you can choose to enter a different course ID. If the course shown is correct, type in your access code and click Enter.
Once you've entered your access code, click Finish Enrollment to finish enrolling in the course.
